This historic barn was built circa 1870 by Martin Mendenhall. It sits on a parcel of the original Bernal Land Grant, Rancho del Valle de San Jose, what is now part of Hagemann Ranch. Martin reared cattle, grew crops, and also raised and raced horses. Hagemann Ranch is a National Historic site, owned by the City of Livermore, California. This is a limited edition print, carved onto a linoleum block, then hand printed on Japanese Kitakata paper, on my etching press. Print area is about 12 x 9 inches, paper measures 21 x 17 inches. Each print is signed by the artist, numbered and is an original piece of art.
