Kimono - Limited Edition of 3 Print

Digital painting / collage inspired by surrealist art with a post-modern edge. Reference points include max ernst, rene magritte, man ray and damien hirst. The image is a unique edition of three only in this color combination. My printing is done at the Print Space in Hoxton, London (specialists in fine art and professional photography) onto acid-free Hahnemuhle German Etching 310 gsm archival art paper. Please note, the 'canvas' size of this print is 44 inches x 41.4 inches, which includes a white, 4-inch border all around. The image itself is 36 x 33.1 inches, but 44 x 41.4 inches is the size to consider for framing purposes. I should add that one of the most frequent questions I get from potential buyers is about pricing, so let me break down how that works. 30% goes to Saatchi in commission; no quibbles there; they do a great job. Printing for larger size (30-40-plus inches wide / high) prints costs around $130-$180 per print. I oversee printing personally and only sign off when I'm happy with the result. Each image will take me days, sometimes weeks, to complete, so you're also paying for the time and expertise invested in each work, plus all that intangible stuff we call 'the creative process'.
