About The Artwork

The original of this work was featured in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2018 curated by Grayson Perry. This edition was created to celebrate that. The image shows twin girls that have become one with there favourite things in the world, their dogs.

Simon Stephenson is a London based artist and professional illustrator. He has worked as a creative in advertising for over 20 years. Simon's work has been featured in the 'Association of illustrators annual' and used in many advertising campaigns for Telewest, Barclays Bank, Orange, NHS, Jigsaw... His work has been used and featured in several books such as 'The big book of illustration ideas.' His screen prints were sold by 'Lulu Guinness' at her pop up shop as well as the Jealous gallery in London. Simon regularly draws inspiration from London and its denizens, both human and animal. The medium – spray paint – feels perfect for the portraits. For spray paint comes from the self-same streets that our urban friends call their own.
