Chlorophyll printmaking is a printing process in which an image is created by burning an image onto a leaf of a plant, in this case a lilac. At this point, the leaf that serves as the canvas for this art undergoes a transformation, becoming extremely fragile as it dries. Which makes both the object and the image on it blushingly delicate. Each work turns out to be unique, even when using the same source material. Chlorophyll printing is a technique not often seen and is associated with subtlety, sensitivity and the process of fading.
