The ‘Limb Composite 2. Musso’ is digitally cut out legs out of the original 'Naked Musso' painting, and produced as a poster. The image is part of four ‘leg composites’. They set to be exhibited within 'The 20th Century Dictators' series accompanied by organic sounds activated by motion-sensing technology. 'The 20th Century Dictators' (2002-2007) is a series of paintings, floor adhesive prints, posters, wallpaper and textile design, billboard, and animation that explores the images of naked Hitler, Mussolini, Franco, Mao Zedong and Stalin in contemporary context going beyond the historical or documentary analysis. The animation 'Christ is Not an Aryan' was screened on Europe’s largest digital screen in 2007 on top of the Axel Springer Building and was dabbed as “one of three things to see in Berlin” by Bild newspaper (Germany) and BZ Magazine (Germany) at the time of the screening. 'Siamese Twins' painting featured as ‘The Image of the Week' in The Times' Art Review. The ‘Full Figures’ paintings (painted in oil on 4mm plywood board and sanded down) featured in the literary magazine Der Freund (Germany) in December 2005. For the series the artist was named the 'Critic's Choice' by Saatchi Online in 2007. The series was exhibited at Crone Gallery in Berlin in 2007. The series; artworks are to be exhibited in 6 environs: • Environ 1: Full length life-size paintings of naked Hitler, Mussolini, Mao Zedong, Stalin, and Franco, • Environ 2: ‘Heads’, floor-adhesive vinyl prints and 48-sheet billboard 'Dictators TM’ • Environ 3: ‘Torsos’, posters • Environ 4: 'Limbs Compositions' prints, accompanied by organic sounds activated by motion-sensing technology • Environ 5: 'Group Portrait' wallpaper that covers the walls of this environ space. Graduating in science, Alla has enjoyed a career in fine art. Her work has featured on the front pages of The Times (UK) and Bild (Germany), and in the Guardian, Independent, Jackdaw Art Review, Art Industry, Hello!, Der Spiegel, Die Welt, ITV, and other media platforms. She has exhibited worldwide. Her work is included in the art collections of the Royal College of Music and the BBC Public Ownership Collection. She is a recipient of the Leverhulme Artist-in-Residence Award, UK Millennium Award, and Gold Medal of the Lead Awards. Alla is an RSA Fellow. She is based in London, UK. Social Art project MASK, 2007-ongoing In 2007, Alla founded the MASK project in Kenya to empower young people through art and creativity (https://maskcreate.org/). MASK has since reached its beneficiaries in 13 countries in Africa, as well as UK, USA, France and South Korea. It exhibited at UNESCO, Saatchi Gallery, Turner Contemporary, Nairobi National Museum, the US Library of Congress and other institutions. It was named ‘Most Innovative Learning Organisation 2020’ by SME News (UK). The 20th Century Naked Dictators series, 2002–07 This series of oil paintings, digital prints, wallpaper/textile design, and animation explores the historical figures of Hitler, Mussolini, Franco, Mao, and Stalin. The series was exhibited at Crone Gallery in Berlin in 2007 and featured in international press. The Times (UK) called 'Siamese Twins' as ‘The Image of the Week' in 2003; the Saatchi Gallery named it the 'Critic's Choice' in 2007. Full figures of ‘The Dictators’ were published in Der Freund magazine (Germany) in 2005. Other works featured in Berliner Morgenpost, Sleek magazine, and Die Welt (Germany). Prince Charles Series, 2000–02 Following a sitting at Highgrove, Alla created a series of drawings and paintings of Prince Charles. The paintings featured on the cover of The Times (UK), Bild, and Der Freund. The 'Black Prince’ won the Gold Medal of the Lead Award for ‘Best Magazine Cover of the Year 2005'. The series was exhibited at Ebury Galleries in London's Belgravia in 2002.
