Materials: ballpoint pen, marker, digital (Adobe Photoshop CC) & high quality print. Paper: high quality FABRIANO Accademia (120 gsm) paper. Artwork is numbered & signed (also on the back of the frame). About | “Memories” belong to my collection of digital works. They are available as 'unique' or a series of 'limited edition' prints printed in high quality only in small numbers. Experimenting with digital media has always been a great companion to my standard art work. With more and more practice I came to the point where the combined hand drawn, photo manipulated and other digital elements begin to fuse with each other, although my goal is not to hide, but more to 'mimicry' the traditional work. Memories is an artwork that shows my passion of combining different symbolic elements that are together creating a story that is hidden ‘behind them’. My intention was to create an artwork that is ‘alive’, that is constantly changing depending on how you look at it …

Andrej Mratinković was born in 1984 in a town Celje in Slovenia. He graduated at the Department of Fine Arts at University of Maribor in 2011. When he decided to study fine art, he quickly came to realize that his work will also be to deeply analyze all the components that will give him an artwork that he truly strive for; and for that he would need a lot of exploration, experimentation and experience. A turning point in his artistic development was the discovery of artworks by sculptor Mirsad Begić, who inspired him with his incredible work, personal mythology and introduced him to natural materials, especially "coffee". Mratinković's main fields of creativity are drawing, painting, small sculptures, digital art and graphic design. His art work is often linked with concepts like: imagination, primacy, archaism, mysteriousness, mysticism and poetics. /// Contact:
