Bertus Van Stuyveren is the founding father of "˜Accountantism', a recent tendency in the fine arts which does not longer considerate traditional and old-fashioned forms of art like painting, filming, photographing etc as real art. The only pure and true work of art, the essential basic of each work of art is the file created to fund the artwork. Bertus Van Stuyveren does not longer consider the art file as the foul prima materia, he does not consider it as a slimy lordosis to gain some lousy nickels, an abundant source of meaningless boredom, for him the art file is in itself a work of art, it is the one and only masterpiece. All the other forms of art are derivative and none-essential. Accountantism is still neglected by so-called art connaisseurs. Besides being the founder of Accountantism, Bertus Van Stuyveren is a former accountant whose creative book-keeping was not accepted by Belgian jurisdiction. Therefore his current residence is unknown. He is also a passionate amateur-astrologist. He is fond of and creates his own (rejection) stamps and he collects rejection letters from artistic institutions.
