Art Description

Printmaking: Digital, Lithograph and Paper on Cardboard.

My multimirrors are digital computations of an object or image as observed through a long, square tunnel made of interior mirrors. An image or object placed at one end of the tunnel is reflected many times in four directions, when observed from the other end. An unexpected feature of these composite reflections is the emergence of new and surprising patterns. All of this is documented in my website www.hansthierstein.ch - although in German.
