ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was inspired to make this image after visiting New York and seeing an Edward Hopper exhibition. This view from my hotel caught the atmosphere I sort of city windows in a darkened street. The subject was perfect for me to make a copper plate etching with aquatint, as I wanted strong black and white contrasts. It is made with traditional acid etching techniques, hand made and hand printed on quality acid free paper.
