About The Artwork
This is a piece about consumerism and and the parallax between the buyer and the advertising methods used. I referenced an old 80's advertisement which I have scanned in to the Computer Using a secret method of distortion. The work is inspired by the early Papier-mâché sculptures of Claes Oldenburg And the aluminum prints of Christopher wool. I chose the medium because I am the master printer and silkscreen Is my favorite. The style is sleek as to attract a sort of Mass-consumerism Internet informed look.
