Rosha Nutt’s passion for flowers and colour collides in her new collection ‘Flowerbeds’. Her colourful, abstracted landscapes are built up through layers of acrylic and pastel and are as dynamic as they are fantastical. Taking inspiration from the British flowerbeds she has visited at places like Kew Gardens, Houghton Hall and Sandringham, she says “I want to capture the memory of a place and the feeling of its joyfulness. We rarely see everything in sharp focus like a photograph, seeing is more sensorial than that and I want to bring this sensory memory to life on the canvas.” Rosha studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martins and Middlesex University and went on to work as an art director making tv and print adverts. She worked on campaigns with Kate Moss and photographer Rankin. In recent years Rosha’s professional practise has centred on printmaking with a number of sold out editions and exhibitions. Rosha lives in north London. For more information visit her website /
