About The Artwork

I live in the city, so I often watch pigeons. They are all similar, but when you look closely they are all different. Our city pigeons are ordinary gray, black, black and white, gray and black, rarely white. Pigeons are a good illustration of city life. I did this work in the monotype technique. Original graphics artwork was hand printing on 120 gram paper. For printing, I used acrylic paints. Graphics artwork size 29.7x41.7 cm Signed & dated on the front and back. All original artwork is shipped with a certificate of authenticity.

I am a member of the Creative Union of Lithuanian Artists. I never thought before that in creativity is so much analysis. The more experienced I become, the clearer I understand this. To create an artwork, you need to analyze many aspects: plot, state of nature, tone, color, light and shadow, object, silhouette, shape and texture, color spots, find composition, technique and manner of painting, etc. Come up with an artistic image, think over the meaning and understand how to picture it. And here my professional experience in the IT industry helps me. It is necessary to analyze the collected data and make a decision. So it is in creativity. There are many things in art that you need to keep in mind in order to create a painting. I was born, studied and now live and create in the historic city Vilnius. I believe that beauty is everywhere, sometimes in the simplest things. You just need to notice it. I am inspired by the color and combination of colors, the coloration that can be traced in different states of nature. I am fascinated by the picturesqueness. I am trying to image exactly these emotions and feelings. I also like lines, silhouette and pattern. Apparently that's why I like to work both in painting and in graphics. I prefer painting in oil technique, where the color is revealed in full force. I choose the technique for drawing the one that better emphasizes the idea. It can be watercolor, ink, gouache or acrylic, tempera, pencils or pastels. In graphics I often work in mixed media and combine different approaches.
