About The Artwork
Drawing directly onto the etching plate I stood and captured life in Peckham one day. I use to live here and had noticed that it had started to change with the arrival of new flats so I wanted to make a memory of life as I knew it in Peckham. Such a vibrant place, music booming, shouting, markets, laughter and people from all walks of life here. I noticed that many of the shops have names which reflect faith, Divine Destiny and Touch of Grace, Rye Lane was at one point said to have over 30 different places of worship on one street with churches being held above many shops.

Highlights have been painting the interior of the Trinity Arms Pub in Brixton which included designing and painting table tops and walls upstairs in the restaurant area as well as painting large murals for Camelot Primary School in Peckham.
