About The Artwork

This figure is a nod to Manet's Dejeuner painting. She sits in a dreamscape of collaged handmade papers as well as a pair of praying hands which are also hand printed. The basket besides her is full of printed figs and foliage. The fig is a mythical symbol of the earth and fecundity. I hope to create a mystery of metaphor with this piece. The print is one of a kind and is created on acid-free heavy base sheet of white BFK paper. It is shipped flat in a box.
