Queen Shelly is inspired by the African Culture and body arts. It depicts a traditional African Queen with ornaments and decorations from the African society; notable amongst them is the Snail Shell earrings from which the name of the art piece was derived. It also emphasizes the African concept of beauty with curly and long neck. The hairstyle which is predominantly African adds to tell the story of the African beauty.
