Screen printing on 15 canvases (37 x 45 cm), entire setting up 200 x 150 cm. The canvases with printed graphics are stretched over smaller frames in such a way that they combine among themselves into a desired combination of abstract images. Inspiration for this work was my previous work-a series of figurative paintings with very visible brush strokes. I used close up photographs of these brush strokes and made screen printings. The canvases with screen prints are stretched over smaller frames in such a way that they combine among themselves into a desired combination of abstract images. Indefinable images are fused with vertical and horizontal lines. The directions indicated in such manner, allude to the strokes of a paintbrush, changing the nature of the graphical technique of screen-printing, as it, here, flirts with painting. Despite the screen-printing and the printing of few identical images, this is only perceived briefly, as each segment proves unique in its own way, while at the same time the image, reaching over the edge of the frame, hinting at a serial production and alienation of photography, which is mutually excluding.

Anamari Hrup is the art and program manager of the interdisciplinary project Abandoned Plants Sanctuary. Together with Eva Jera Hanžek, she has been leading the project and creating workshops, events, exhibitions, and domestic and international collaborations in the Green Refuge mobile greenhouse at Krater creative laboratory in the Bezigrad district of Ljubljana. Her body of work covers the field of painting, drawing, and illustration, combining ecological guidelines and themes, which are already implemented in the project Abandoned Plants Sanctuary. In her works, she develops and upgrades them into a whole, in the mediums of paintings, drawings, and illustration. In her personal work, through an intimate and personal relationship with the above media, she explores the field between individual and collective, between formal techniques and informal approaches. In her work, she subtly incorporates current social events, the center of which is her attitude towards nature, sustainable way of living, and the position of the individual in current socio-ecological circumstances.
