My work is influenced by my love for the pop art tradition. With this new body of work I explore the meaning of pop art in today’s context. I've expressed it in a visual language that looks at the explosion of knowledge, the viral spread of imagery and ideas, the speed of change and the culture of celebrity and self-adulation. Ever present is the uncertain threat of violence, normalised and made palatable as it is fed to our many screens – paradoxically keeping us both connected and disengaged. The prints are of my original paintings, which are digitally scanned and then printed onto acrylic glass. This print is limited to an edition of 25.
