A re-imagining of Swiss artist Arnold Böcklin's painting “Isle of the Dead“ by Dent-de-Lion du Midi. ... A desolate and rocky islet set across an expanse of dark water. A mysterious island dominated by a dark cypress grove. We observe that the trees are surrounded by high precipitous cliffs. As we drift closer we note the various portals and windows on the rock faces. Arriving, our curiosity is checked by the strangeness of this otherworldly place. We wonder: if we get out and explore The Island, will we ever leave? ... An original Series One print. Series One prints feature our original artworks realised on exquisite Hahnemühle "German Etching" paper (300gm²) with handcrafted deckle edges.
