Art Description

Printmaking: Aquatint, Etching, Engraving, Mezzotint and Ink on Paper.

This is an original hand printed etching on bright-white Somerset paper.
The image size is squared 9,8" x 9,8".
You can see the 4 edges of the plate embossed on the paper.
The original print run edition is 4 copies and 1 A.P. (artist proof). Copy nº4 is the one available.

This piece was selected and exhibited at the 2nd International Printmaking Triennial in Belgrade, Serbia 2014.

This etching print is part of the printmaking series "That Afternoon" (Any given moment has an exceptional meaning if we step in of inner details and sensations. A short and apparently meaningless period of time can easily turn into something magical).

I love to think that printmaking is alchemy: a long experimental process where all the elements and materials have to fit together on a perfect moment in order to transmute into something powerful, magical and precious.
