About The Artwork

This is a work from the series "Ports of Chernomoria", the beginning of the 20th century. It is interesting to study and paint Bulgaria, coping retro photos, introducing my own vision and color into the past. During the construction of the new harbor in Varna at the beginning of the century, three other beacons were built – one at the end of the seaport, one at the end of the southern breakwater and one at the seaport, opposite the southern one. The last two lighthouses marked the entrance to the harbor. Several years ago, the beacon at the end of the seaside was replaced with a new one.
