Thinking of the Moon III - Limited Edition of 4 Print

Nowadays my printmakings go into experimental period. I generally uses some piece of her printmaking papers to make collages. Universe, cosmos, the world, sistem, the earth, planets etc. are her elements. Especially, the motif of trees that I have is as a pattern on printmakings. I see the trees as extension of the World. Their roots link to the earth, in case their branches point out our relation with sky. Today and future are together with on my last art works. Consequently they are just thinking of being while they are formed by. This serie is about universe; some thoughts about universe. While I create the collage , think about what is unchanging and what the mark of it in our life, in the universe. Espacially philozophy of zen is base of my thoughts; impressed by the philosophy of zen. I think about duality when I create them. As if, they are somewhere between eternity and at this time, but nowhere behind duality. I've still been continued working on this serie. The title of the art work is ''Thinking of the Moon - III '' Technics are Photopolymer Cut, Chine Colle - Collage on ivory white paper 300gr 31x39,5cm printing size 50x70cm paper size Made in 2019 by Mediha Sevinç The art work is hand signed by artist and original printmaking collage (not copy or inkjet print). Just 4 editions were printed, not more in the world. All transparent prints that I used for making collage, are printed on printmaking press by hand. The photopolymer block were curved by digital - the block of the trees. Other parts were cut and printed by hand. There are some naturel wavings on it; each edition has own.
