About The Artwork
Original etching hand printed on bright-white Somerset paper. The image size is 15,9" x 12,9". Hand printed from 2 different plates, inked with 5 colors. The print run edition of this unique work is only 1 copy. One of these elegant artwork pieces of this series was selected and exhibited at the AcquiPrint Biennial in Acqui Termi, Italy, 2017. This artwork is part of the series of etchings "Conversation", which explores the spiritual meaning of letters. It' s a sort of silent dialogue between the elements and the paper hosting them. I also think that letters enhance the idea of "saying something", a communication on a subtle level. We can experience a visual reading and conversation. I love to think that printmaking is alchemy: a long experimental process where all the elements and materials have to fit together on a perfect moment in order to transmute into something powerful, magical and precious.
