Inspired by ballet and dreams of the sleeping kind. This screen print represents struggle and control. It was inspired by a reoccurring dream I would have where I would wake up in my dream. Here dark green illustrative lines are over layed on a photo of a ballet dancer. Experimenting with a hand written, typographic style headline. It reads "It had me confined, I had no control, the soul had no escape, persisting, but held on strong, spirit, evaporate" Obviously these dreams where quite strong and vivid... Only 2 of 9 prints available. Unframed. Printed on white wove 300 gsm paper. Signed and dated lower right below printed image in black pencil, 'MJ Harmer 91'. Inscribed lower centre below printed image in black pencil, 'UNTITLED' Priced per each print.

Born in Brisbane, Australia. A budding artist from a young age who went on to study a Bachelor of Visual Arts in Fine Art, since then I have been documenting life's experiences in visual diaries, keeping track of life's moments. Over time I developed a series of illustrations in a sketchbook these have been transformed into limited edition monochrome prints, a series of paintings and unique sculptures. Exhibiting internationally since 2015, one of my creative goals was achieved in June 2022 when my paintings where exhibited in my first solo exhibition in Milan, Italy. Presented by Monteoliveto Gallery. Most recently I have created a series of ornate ceramic wall art sculptures themed around the elements of nature. Four of these sculptures were exhibited as photographs in a group collective exhibition in Milan, Italy.
