ABOUT THE ARTWORK
DETAILS AND DIMENSIONS
SHIPPING AND RETURNS

This is a one-off original artwork on paper. I use the screen as a drawing tool to play with the overlaying of colour to create pattern. The design grows through the process and therefore the outcome is unique and unknown. Each artwork from a series is different in composition but united by colour.

Through the process of screen print Emma creates original one-off works of art predominately on paper. Using the screen as a drawing tool she explores the relationship between colour, shape and pattern. Emma is inspired by geometry and the Op Art movement and through repeating patterns she creates depth and illusion in her work. She adapts and responds to the work as it evolves on the page, intuitively making decisions about the balance of tone and colour, allowing the process to define the outcome. Emma moved to Bristol from Norwich to study a degree in Textile Design and has been teaching there for the last 15 years. She has now left teaching to focus on her own artwork and screen prints at Spike Print Studio.
