Dechen Dolkar living in New York. she has been engaged in professional painting for more than 20 years. Her works are inspired by a lifelong study of Zen and her life experience in both China and the United States. Her painting methods draw upon her deep studies of ancient Chinese and modern Western techniques. Jianxia has won numerous international honors and held exhibitions in the United States and internationally. In 2011, she won the "The Most Outstanding Asian Artists" award in the United States, and in 2012 she was awarded the Green Card for "Aliens of extraordinary ability" (EB-1A) in the United States. Several solo exhibitions featuring modern interpretation of Buddhist Bodhisattva figures held in Manhattan, New York were well acclaimed. Jianxia’s works are deeply loved and sought after by collectors. Her works are owned by former US President Clinton and the Mimi Gates collection. In 2022, the Contemporary artwork "Invisible Wings" was auctioned in the UK for 86,350 pounds. She continues to create, and her works are attracting more attention and recognition from national collectors, with steadily increasing auction prices. Dechen Dolkar states “My style is a personal synthesis of long years of efforts and work bringing together my early years in China and my experience in Western life. Influenced by Zen Buddhism in tone and philosophy, I hope with my paintings to open people’s hearts and bring out the inner peace during our busy life.
