About The Artwork

Horse Eye "Vision" - Your Unframed Limited Edition Giclee print is printed on 100% Italian Cotton Fibre Paper which has archival properties, and is a warm off white colour with a visual softness to its surface. Once framed approximate dimensions 22"W x 18.5"H. "Vision" is a realist, highly detailed drawing/painting, the body of the horse is created with pencil while the eye and reflection in it, is captured with mixed media. My grandfather bred horses and trained people to ride and I have always felt an affinity to them.

Realist artist Indigo Wise was born and raised in Auckland, NZ, in 2005 she moved to Golden Bay, NZ, surrounded, and constantly inspired by nature and all it's beauty, realising the creations that are part of my heart and mind. She has always felt a connection with art. Although not being encouraged to pursue her meant she didn’t start painting and drawing until relatively recently, a ‘Creativity for Change’ course unlocked the door and she walked through! When Indigo paints or draws it becomes like breathing to her and space and time have no value. She strives to breathe life into every finished piece of work. Her American Indian lineage is evident throughout her work. It’s important to Indigo that she is making a difference through her art, with the Falcon series she partnered with the Marlborough Falcon Conservation Trust and money raised from her works helps these endangered birds. For several years Indigo has contributed to Operation Restore Hope, which is a not-for-profit, non-governmental, non-sectarian charity that provides surgical procedures for underprivileged children in the Philippines, and she also makes regular contributions from sales of my artwork, to Mercy Ships bringing hope and healing to developing nations. Indigo has work held in private collections throughout New Zealand, in Australia, Scotland, France, Ireland, the Netherlands, Canada and the United States of America.
