ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This painting is inspired by the famous Newport Beach Surfing spot named the "Wedge". Body surfers, boogie boarders, shortboarders, longboarders, and standup paddleboarders all share the same monstrous wave. That's a recipe for disaster. There's a reason why an ambulance is parked there when there's a huge swell.
