About The Artwork
This work is an intensely personal image. I have always had a great love of butterflies, and this image combines both the warmth of summer and the freedom of flight. This work was created on in April, 2015, the centennial of the Armenian Genocide, the first major genocide of of the 20th century. Because I combine my musical compositions with my art, there is also a musical composition that goes along with this digital painting. The music is based on elements of sacred Armenian music, bringing this work full-circle. This is an edition of 100 prints on paper, plus 3 artist proofs. The signed limited edition prints also have a digital sound file of the music shipped with it.
