This original limited edition linocut two colour print follows a line of work that mixes the ready made text with qualities inherent in the printmaking process and more personal mark making. A balance is established between several experiences. Viewers can indulge in the colour and richness of the surface inks, the interplay between layered geometric shapes and more expressive marking making, or they can read the text which may possibly raise a smile. Relief print, in this case linocut, offers a medium that whilst controllable, always provides opportunities for unexpected results. The way the inks print, they way they layer, and residual marks from the printing block, are what gives printmaking it's dynamism and makes each print unique. This is an original limited edition two colour (black and gold) linocut printed on archival quality 250gsm A3 (297mm x 420mm / 11.7 in x 16.5 in) Fabriano Unica acid free paper. Prints are made using professional oil based Caligo relief inks. Image size is 26.6 x 33.2 cm and so can either be mounted and framed, or will fit directly into a ready made A3 frame. There are 40 prints available in the edition. The print is supplied unframed. Framed images are for illustration only.
