Printmaking: Monotype, Oil, Paper on Paper.
I made this set of graphics in the studio of my professor and artist Lura Panno during my summer holidays in Milan when the city was deserted and empty. I got inspiration from the beauty of the sky that I could see in Milan for the first time so clear, as I have never seen it before the summer. I used black as the main color because many artists don't see black as a color, and for me, that was a really interesting aspect to explore through my work. Also because I think that black color is emblematic and a mysterious in so many ways. For me, black is a color of lightness that expresses the infinite and deepness of dark cosmos. Besides black, I used traces of pink, and in my works pink color represents feminity, birth, and woman's facility to give life, it is also a color that represents blood, and symbol of human relationship with nature.
