This form was inspired by the work of Barbara Hepworth. Abs-1 is an early example of my experimentation using 3D printing technology to create forms, from which plaster moulds are made and the piece is slip cast. Hetre there is no glazing or marbling, unlike other forms, the focus was on producing a much smoother finish, which created a dichotomy in that the shape looks ancient, but the colour and smoothness are modern. The sense is of a piece which is to timeless.
