About The Artwork
Part of my 'Skyworks' series of sculpture, "Accipiter (the Hawk)", pays homage to the constellation of the same name. Made with what I like to call a 'NASA aesthetic' these pieces celebrate and express a more objective, exploratory state of mind. Mankind has always sought to understand our role in the Universe and I believe Art plays a vital role in that search. Beauty goes hand in hand with the acquisition of Knowledge. The painted steel sculpture includes a 36"hX16"wX16"d steel base.
