Accordionist Sculpture

Accordionist | bronze sculpture | 31 x 18 x 14 cm | Accordionist is a sculpture inspired by Russian folklore. The curved shape of a woman is playing the accordion. Her heavy breasts are resting on the bellows of that instrument. Music and dance, explosion of primitive and ordinary sex comprised in that nearly-masculine body. The essence and power of a Russian woman who is able punch somebody in the face, plough the field or comfort her man. The sculpture is a unique piece, signed by the artist. The sculpture is cast in bronze. The model is made in the technique of lost-wax cast. I create my sculptures in that technique because the lost-wax cast technique reflects artist’s sensibility and touch in the best way.
