Inspiration for this piece are observation of light falling across three-dimensional forms and interacting with the coloured glass.
In this light-sensitive artwork reflected and transmitted colours interact across the three dimensional surfaces created by the plaster relief.
I hope the viewer will enjoy the light-recative colour and how the work changes depending on daylight or artifical lighting conditions.

Hildegard's work in glass is abstract, geometric and colourful. Her artworks incorporate dichroic glass allowing light to transform the image, changing, shifting and surprising. In her assemblages of glass she strives to 'Make the Invisible Visible' and create unexpected temporal beauty. Inspiration comes from a variety of sources, light in nature and in architectural space being key influences. Geometry and pattern continue to fascinate the artist. Architecture and textiles are another interest. Winner of 'Best overall artist' at PURE Arts Autumn Art Fair 2016 and Best Mixed Medai prize in 2018 & shortlisted for the London Contemporary Art Prize 2018.
