A good friend named this tree.  It was fall, and she had just returned from a trip to Colorado.  She swore this tree captured the flame against the sky that she saw in Aspens.
This tree is a stunning piece of jewelry for the home.  Close to 1150 yards of non- tarnish full round silver plated copper wire cover its roots, trunk and branches.  The leaves are mainly non-tarnish copper, except for a small group where I deliberately used a tarnish-able copper to demonstrate the transition from fall to winter. .  In  time it will acquire a true verdigris and the tree will shift seasons -- summer to autumn.
A turntable video of this tree is posted on my website:

I have studied the art of bonsai for over to ten years. My wire bonsais developed as an offshoot from searching the internet for bonsai wire for some new saplings. My love affair with trees began at an early age. I spent a great deal of my childhood in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park. It was only natural that, as an adult, I gravitated to the art of Bonsai. I now live in South Carolina, surrounded by beautiful southern trees, and I have discovered the sheer joy of sculpting trees from wire. From those first simple wire trees to my current work, I have grown in love and skill of this art form. I am self-taught, and this schooling will last my lifetime. In the beginning, three local galleries carried my work, today I sell mainly by direct commission and through the internet. My trees are now in homes from coast to coast, north to south in the US. As of 2016, they have spread to Canada --proof that the language of trees is international. Video of each tree are posted on my website: www.erainntree.com
