Barn Owl Landing Sculpture

* Sculpture was commission in 2020 I would delighted to create another one, more pictures available via email. The Barn Owl is an iconic silent and unmistakeable creature, which can be recognised across the globe because of its unique appearance, with the Barn Owl Being one of my favourite birds I was inspired to capture its beauty and grace using materials normally far from the normal sculpture medium. Scrap, reclaimed, upcycled metal components and parts and new materials have been used. Using spark plugs to replicate the feathers will highlight its colour over the years as it gradually tarnishes and the ceramic on the sparkplugs remains white, give the sculpture life as it ages. The Barn owl can easily be identified from afar but its attraction is the intrigue that is heightened when you move closer and identify the 100s of separate components assembled together to create this stunning representation of a truly beautiful creature. Having made 3 Barn owls now each having their own individualism I am eager to create another. This sculpture is mountable as seen in the photos, But they can be made mounted on a reclaimed tree branch/ log
