The dynamic process initiated by creation allows the rethinking of arts’ roles. The traditional Chinese garden refers to the nature to imitate the landscape. After the reflection of classical philosophy thoughts, it was then shaped into the “Imitating Landscape” which “learns from the nature and matches with the Geomantic Omen”. In addition, it contains the “mutual engendering of virtual and real” of Taoist, the “harmony of nature and human” of Confucianism, the “visionary world” of Buddhism etc., all of these concepts constitute the “literati-like” landscape in which each piece of wood or stone symbols “ literary pursuit” that can be the typical symbol of traditional Chinese culture form. The “Imitating Landscape” series that is mimicking from this culture form “re-code” the symbols by imitating the virtual image of “imitating landscape” and by the logics driven by the contemporary industry of culture. It can be seen that the losing connection of natural context has been replaced by the “imitating landscape” constructed with the mass-production, standardization, modularization of the popular culture of “Gundam”. The stronger perception and more real feeling have been revoked since the virtual image is actually the real existence, replaced by the aura of the mechanical reproduced year though, that reflects the form of traditional Chinese culture, calls the phantom of literati transforming to the imitation of contemporary literary pursuit.
