This sculpture is carved from two pieces of wood, laminated using a hand plane to true the surfaces before gluing. It is treated with wax for a satin surface. The smoothness of the untreated sculpture can be enjoyed while handling the piece and is part of the concept. The two parts act in subtle relationship with each other mimicking our human experience. The separate parts and overall unity echoes the wholeness of our species.

Incorporating it into a living space will create an interesting and soothing dynamic. The piece has a very modern feel but also carries a sense of tradition and care.
