Gunnar Kr. Jónasson, b. 1956. e-mail gkr@simnet.is Artist, lives and works in Akureyri Iceland. He divides his time between painting, drawing and making three-dimensional art works. Gunnar Kr. has worked at visual arts for a long time, at first concurrently with other jobs and business activities, but he has devoted himself wholly to art since 2002. Gunnar Kr. is a blacksmith by trade and worked for several years at ship-building in Akureyri. He left that field in 1983 and operated the ad agency Stíl until 2002. Gunnar Kr studied art at Myndlistaskólinn in Akureyri 1986-1989. Gunnar Kr. has held many private exhibitions in Akureyri, Reykjavík, the Faroe Islands and elsewhere, and has participated in group exhibitions.
