About The Artwork
This work, ‘Breath’, creates a tangible line between the two spaces of ocean and atmosphere; it is the physical manifestation of our breath, frozen solid as a tangible mark of our human experience, a suspended emblem of that tenuous line between life and death within these bonded spaces of our atmosphere. This work has developed from a continuous exploration of oceanic movements and elements; where the dual tension between the ferocity and calmness of the sea are mirrored in the unique manipulative states of fluidity, solidity and transparency of glass and steel.
