About The Artwork
This piece was inspired by the hand made wooden toy chest I bought at a yard sale. The story? An old cowboy relives his childhood after finding his old toy chest in the attic. Or...a young boy pretending to be a grown up cowboy riding a bucking bronco in the rodeo. Could go either way. The cowboy is carved in styrofoam (as all my 'tronie' sculptures are) then fiberglassed and painted with pro-grade satin latex enamel. The horse is all wood with rope tail and halter (which has been resined). Suitable for outdoor or indoor installation. The original is for sale, but it can be cast in aluminum and painted with automotive paints if that is your desire. Price for casting will be on request. This piece is hand-delivered and installed by the artist within the continental USA only.
