I met an old woman. At first sight, it was obvious that her body was very weak, her muscles were drooping, and the end of her life was coming very quickly. I asked her, “How are you, granny?” She looked up as her body pulled her to the ground, and she said, “Boy, how am I? My body hurts, and my life bothers me…. I have no perspective in my life. The only thing I can do is to wait for death and pray to God to finish my suffering.”

My art journey began in my early childhood. As a small boy I loved painting and drawing. My inspiration was our neighbour Steven Misuda, a painter from our village. However, I left painting and drawing aside when I first saw and held folk carved statues. “That is what I want to do!” I told to myself. I do want to be able to carve something like this. Later, I started attending the United School in Nizna. My study programme was Artisanal Woodworking and Woodcarving. Those were my artistic beginnings. Since 2015, I have been studying at University in Krakow, at Academy of Fine Arts Them. Jan Matejko. I have been making artistic sculptures, monuments and statues for several years.
