About The Artwork
We are often attracted to shells in both shape and color. There is a wide variety of them, but they all seem to keep some kind of secret. Considering these dwellings of mollusks, one wonders - which architect helps to build all these art objects? This is probably why almost everyone loves to collect and sometimes create entire collections of sea shells. Sea shells are frozen waves and vibrations. In addition, shells are real proof that our world is organized according to certain and specific laws. These laws were formulated by the philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras in the form of the golden ratio formula, the Italian scientist of the Middle Ages Fibonacci in the form of a certain series of numbers, and by the artist Leonardo da Vinci they are enclosed in a golden spiral. Looking closely at the shells, we made this panel to capture these beautiful and mysterious wonders of nature. Ceramic panels "Shells" are intended for interior decoration. Aleksandr Sysoev I was born in 1961, started working with ceramics professionally in 1993. Since then I can’t imagine life without it! Working with clay gives me indescribable feelings. The ‘dialogue’ with this wonderful material is always interesting and fascinating. And the fact that fire turns clay into an everlasting material, the ceramics, still mesmerizes me. Ethnic style is closer to me, in work I feel a special pleasure with pottery wheel formation and free sculpting. I like experimenting with various ceramic techniques. The main lines of my art are Reduction Firing in Pottery, ceramic sculpture and making tiles.
