Sculpture, Coffee Beans on Stone
Size: 19.5 W x 16 H x 9 D in
These coffee sculptures are made using real coffee beans & wire armatures by one of the pioneers of coffee art in the Philippines - Ella Hipolito. The process of making a medium-sized piece takes a few weeks even up to months, depending on the weather, to finish. The actual painting is air-dried once the entire design is completed. Coffee paintings & coffee sculptures are specially-designed works of art that require special care. It needs to be displayed in dry areas where it can breathe. It must not be placed on sites with high levels of humidity as it might encourage the formation of molds. Coffee art is also considered an experimental art, especially the textured coffee painting series wherein coffee grounds were used & coffee sculptures which were made from real coffee beans & wire armatures. Owning this coffee art lets you be a part of the first few to witness the journey of coffee towards art. More sculptures at: www.ellahipolito.com

Philippines
Ella Hipolito's artistic journey started in her hometown of San Mateo, Rizal (Philippines). Here, nature was her backyard and dogs her steadfast companions. She went on to study and finish Fine Arts from the College of the Holy Spirit in Mendiola, Manila. She continued to cultivate her creative talents over the years. In 2010 Ella pursued her career in visual arts and coffee art became her cup of tea. It is not so often used as an artistic medium of expression, as one Ella Hipolito boldly does. Now that Ella has virtually acquired a thorough knowledge of art through coffee, she then takes pride in looking back at what she initially learned & practiced - painting with the use of traditional media. Watercolor & acrylic are two of her favorites. Through her resolute determination and perseverance, juggling between a day job and painting prior to deciding full-time in visual arts in 2015, Ella now boasts of 5 major solo art exhibitions, numerous solo mall shows, group art activities, and is a founder of 2 art groups. She has also started to gain recognition and offers to do series of guestings, interviews, public art demonstrations, and art talks. WEBSITE www.ellahipolito.com
