About The Artwork
In late 2012, I rediscovered my own poems, speaking of what captive me, individual feelings and emotions. Then, from the writings, it was chosen some icons as the heart, the eye, the brain and the lungs. And began to carry out the project. You could see that part of it runs today, that paragraph of the poem was the spark that gave birth to all the iconography research and technical research to this day which I keep working. This is the last poem in prose (it is in catalan my native language): “Sentir, sentir, sentir. Què és sentir? Se senten els sentiments, se senten els sons, els sentiments. Estimar, estimar, estimar. Què és estimar? Ningú no ho sap definir. Sentir afecte, apreciar. Sentir amor, amar. Amar, amor, amar. Què és l’amor sinó saps amar? Un buit. Un forat. Un cor trencat. Sentir, sentir, sentir. Què és sentir? Se senten les emocions... Però l’emoció, emocionar. Què és emocionar? Un verb estrany, distint. Sentiments per sentir. Objectius clars del sofriment humà. Dels quals no es pot parlar. Sentir, sentir, sentir. Sentir tot per tu, quan tu ja no sents res per mi. Característic de l’ésser humà. Sofrir, sofrir, sofrir. Què és sofrir? Un buit. Un forat. Un cor trencat.” (Maria Antònia M. L'art per a mi és emoció, sinceritat i procés en continu canvi. És com una manera d'entendre el teu entorn. En el qual hi ha tot un seguit d'estímuls. Aquests estímuls, normalment vénen de les emocions que em desperten la bellesa i el dolor de la plenitud i la buidor. D'aquesta manera la iconografia es desprèn a partir dels ulls per allà on ens entra la bellesa, l'amor, l'estima; el cor, on tot batega d'emoció; el cervell, una batalla de la racionalització; i els pulmons, on tot succés es viu amb la respiració. A partir d'aquesta recerca d'una poètica visual, tot allò de la naturalesa interior de l'ésser humà, i de l'exterior de la naturalesa inerta i vivent, va cohesionant-se en la meva producció i recerca artística personal. Em resulta molt gratificant que els espectadors puguin observar la meva obra, i a banda de la meva conceptualització, puguin aportar un discurs paral·lelament i que els porti a reflexionar cada racó dels meus papers, llenços, cada figura, cada marca en el procés, cada pinzellada. Com a simples espais per aturar-se una estona, i deixar-te endinsar entre les formes.
