When wind blows through the corn fields when the corn is tall and tasseled the leaves appear to dance. The gnarly roots, also seem to have movement and I attempted to capture that animation in this relief sculpture. Bronze adds life to sculpture by adding a sense of sunlight and shadow.

My bronze botanical sculpture combines my love of flowers, plants and tress with my love of three dimensional form and texture. I grew up on a farm in Michigan and have been gardening all my life. I love flowers and enjoy presenting them on a larger scale so viewers can see them close up. When I study plants I am amazed by the complexity of form and repetition of elements.
