About The Artwork

The Deco III - The Lust was visualized at Raka Studio by the designers. It is made with an age old technique of wood bending. The wood was striped into thin layers and then twisted and turned only as much as it naturally could. The design goes as far as nature allows it to and due to which the viewer can have a true sense of how nature uses different curves and bends to show the nakedness of a true design. The base is made from Burmese Teak Wood and the sculpture is bent from White Ash Wood.

The Studio is three brothers and their self-gained skill to design and produce themselves. Their first pieces were bent to existence at their family home. Inspired by the flows of nature and driven by their passion for discovering the possible variance in design; they create. The keynote in their creative concept is to dispel the prevalent discipline of design. A selected range of materials is used to produce the envisaged.
