This is the body of a woman lying face down, hiding in her hands in despair. The sculpture is created with such an expression that the cultural and historical example, the sacrificial position of the bodies of gods and giants in the classical frieze “Pergamon Altar” unconsciously comes to mind. Perfect, white marble enriches the image by showing the vulnerability of beauty, in this case - the suffering body. This looks like a "body shut in", i.e. an expressive reaction to fear. Such a suffering body can be viewed as a signal written in two languages - nature and culture. Vulnerability of a body is a genuine existential fragility and precariousness of our finite existence in the world.
