DeforestAction is a project starts in 2015, i highlights one of the environmental and social problems, experienced first, in Indonesia, the illegal deforestation to promote the cultivation of palm oil. We are in an blindly age that destroys and devours ignoring human rights and environmental issues for economic purposes. I want to revive the catastrophe of Deforestation showing the rawest face, such as: the biggest illegal fire in the world, illegal deforestation of thousands of hectares of rainforest, the destruction of an ecosystem, thousands of animals wounded fleeing and destined to die, tribes forced to leave their land. This painting came from a picture that i made years ago in Aceh,Sumatra island, Indonesia. The relation is between the jungle burning out and the new environmental space for the palm oil trees. I create the wall sculpture using plaster mixed with cement, tempera, pigments, gold powder, silver powder, exhausted oil, gesso, cement and lots of other materials mixed together, then i leave it outside under the rain, the sun, the cold, until the material mixed as i like. It tokes more then 4 months to be ready. Then i cover part of the painting with wood and i burned the all painting! Thats create the final effect of a burning jungle. I tied a wool threads to highlight and outline the territory already worked by man.

Alessio Ceruti was born in Varese, Italy, in 1980. He is a self-taught and full-time artist whose artistic training began in his father's business in 1994, where he worked on the finishing of sculptures for many famous artists such as Michelangelo Pistoletto, Not Vital, and Remo Salvadori. These artistic influences increased his desire to communicate using his own language, focusing on the study and use of metals, recycled materials, and painting. With studios in Milan and Bali, he has had the privilege of collaborating and exhibiting with artists worldwide. His art has been featured in numerous group and solo exhibitions spanning Europe, Southeast Asia, and the USA. His artistic process is unique and involves a blend of multimedia techniques using different materials. In his work, he delves into the intricate relationship between humanity and nature, both conceptually and abstractly. In addition to his artistic pursuits, he is a free diver and scuba diver. Back in Bali, he is studying and working on a Coral Gardening Program and conducting experiments on shells. He is also researching new recycling materials using Styrofoam.
