Artist Recognition
Artist featured in a collection
This sculpture is inspired by the myth of Echo & Narcissus and is placed at the edge of still water with a dark bottom, so that its reflection can reveal the meaning of the mysterious letters cut through its surface. It owes a debt to the work of Ian Hamilton Finlay. Concept by Hamish Pringle, project management and engineering by Peter Martin, with typography by Tom Mann. Commissions accepted and can be executed in a variety of materials. This first sculpture was cut from 10mm copper which has developed verdigris.
